SUNSHINE is creating solutions that will eventually enable different users (such as building managers, ESCOs, planners, system operators, public administration and even citizens) to use innovative digital services in order to optimize and improve energy efficiency at urban and building level. To help users take up and benefit from the created solutions, as well as to facilitate replication of the SUNSHINE process and results, structured Training Actions  have been foreseen in the project. These actions consisted in:

  • Training workshops
  • Training on thefor other European cities (observers, affiliated towns and regions). Assisted step-by-step walkthrough of SUNSHINE implementation will be provided based on the interested cities’ technology readiness and objectives in relation to their selected scenarios and target users.

Developed materials for training are available in the following sections:

  1. Introduction: general training presentations and videos aimed at giving stakeholders an overview of the SUNSHINE project architecture and service platform;
  2. SUNSHINE Scenario 1 training on „Energy Maps” solution: a collection of training slides and documents as well as external annexes providing insights and step-by-step training on generating the data model, the model for energy map calculation, the use of the Map4Data app and elements for validation;
  3. SUNSHINE Scenario 2 training on „Building Energy Awareness” solution: a collection of training slides and documents as well as external annexes providing insights and step-by-step on the low-level service platform, specifications for data ingestion, meter data management service, sensor data management, Green Button module, suggestion services and validation activities for Scenario 2;
  4. SUNSHINE Scenario 3 training on „Remote control of Lighting Networks: a collection of training slides and documents providing insights and step-by-step on the low-level service platform, remote system management, security and privacy issues and lamp control service;
  5. Training videos on the use of the online platforms and apps for Scenario 1, 2 and 3;
  6. Native language support: Training modules in other languages (Italian, Croatian) – this section is under development.

Trainees and interested stakeholders are furthermore invited to provide their input in the Feedback section by filling in the questionnaire or by writing to us directly at training@sunshineproject.eu .

Furthermore, we have deployed an ongoing open registration for interested cities and regions to become affiliated with SUNSHINE . We are interested in liaisoning and assisting local authorities who wish to follow the SUNSHINE roadmap and implement their own smart services for higher energy efficiency. Training for these cities will follow the methodology described in the Work Package structure up until setting up the piloting activities.
If you are a city interested in becoming affiliated and benefitting from the SUNSHINE methodology, contact us at training@sunshineproject.eu .

SUNSHINE has so far deployed training at local level in pilots as described below. Further public training activities will be announced on this page.
